Nick Gallicchio and I have been arguing for a number of days. Yesterday we both raised the white flag and made peace. He is a nice man.
The unbelievable rudeness of some men: namely Nick Gallicchio
I belong to an authour’s group on LinkedIn. I made a very polite remark to his very bad attitude about self-publishing companies. Since I’m a partner in an E-Book and Self-Publishing business, I replied, explaining to him what it is all about. He also happened to call us all in this business,”bandits.” He very rudely told me to F…k myself, at least twice in two short sentences and then he had the audacity to ask me if he spelled it correctly. I replied, no he did not because it doesn’t require a capitol “F”.He is on Facebook, look him up. And this person claims to have worked “at” arbitrator N.J. State Board of Mediation. Now he claims to be a consultant settling disputes and “greivances”. Kindly notice his spelling of the word.It is very sad when a person, publicly lowers himself to such vulgarity.I hope none of you ever buy any of his sorry attempts at writing.
My Critique Group
One of the most valuable assets to an author is having a trustworthy critique group. I am lucky enough to have three outstanding authors and editors. Writing is a lonely process and I felt I needed a little support. Therefore, I decided to form a critique group. It took a long time coming and then one day it fell into place. We look forward to meeting each month to praise, criticize, comment and make suggestions. My critique group is invaluable to me and it is thanks to them that I keep striving on. Sometimes it’s not easy.
Sharing priceless words,
And Brilliant insights.
A little about my fellow writers above:
Carolyn Sienkiewicz edits and writes both non-fiction and fiction. Her non-fiction work has appeared in Cruising World, Chesapeake Bay Magazine, Living Aboard Magazine and SpinSheet, as well as the 4th Edition of UNIX Unleashed (SAMS). She is an editor for the Washington Independent Review of Books.
Jill Morrow is the author of ANGEL CAFE and THE OPEN CHANNEL (both Paraview Pocket/Simon & Schuster). She has enjoyed a broad spectrum of careers, including practicing law and singing with local bands. She lives just north of Baltimore City and is currently working on her next novel.
Gary McCann has four stories published, most recently in the current edition of Mobius: A Journal of Social Change, and has been honored by two first prizes from the Maryland Writers Association (2011 short works and 2010 mystery/thriller). His other three stories appear in the Harrington Gay Men’s Fiction Quarterly (2001), Alyson’s Best Gay Love Stories 2005, and in the current issue of The Q Review.
Welcome
Hello dear reader,
I hope you will enjoy scrolling through the pages of my website, as well as reading my books.
The characters in my novels are all fictional. The cats are not–we have eight indoor cats–long story!
Gardening, cooking, holding game nights with friends are some of my hobbies. With Frank, my husband, we sail and kayak as much as possible.
The recipes that I mention in my novels and have included some on my website, are all from my grandmother, mother, my mother-in-laws–all three of them–another long story or I should say stories and from my friends. I hope you will try them out and let me know how much or how little you enjoyed them. I plan to add more.
Please, enjoy my books. My newest one, “Symphony of Shades” will be available in the fall of 2012.
